some arps studs have to be started on a lower torque spec, then u increase it after the first run through. is this the case with the ztec engine?

1turbofocus says, "Drive belt idler pulley 30 ft. lbs."
30 lb.ft. for the drive belt idler pulley bolt? That sounds too much: it's only a 6mm. 8.8 Tables of torque values specify 12 lb.ft. for that! Maybe people are experiencing broken bolts because of overtightening.

People are breaking bolts because the bolts are to long anf not tightening the idler base tight to the surface
