1.6 vs 2.0 size differences?

Hi, this is an odd one, but I’m doing an engine swap on my triumph spitfire and I saw a write up where a guy was attempting it with a 1.6 because it fit in the car pretty well. I recently fond out that we did not get the 1.6 in the US but rather just the 2.0. I’ve read a lot about these engines over the last couple days, but the branding is confusing. To the best of my knowledge the 1.6 is a sigma engine, also called a zetec-SE and the 2.0 is a zetec-E, but a completely different engine than the SE?

If I’m correct, I would really like to know how much bigger the 2.0 is compared to the 1.6 and what the biggest similarities and differences are? Are the bell housing mounting points the same on both? Most importantly as I said above, physical size dimensions are mostly what I’m looking for.

Thanks for any help you can give.
