2013 Focus Issues I Need To Know About ?

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy a new Ford Focus but 2013 and up have heard of major issues with the 2011 2012 models with the auto transmission.

Does the 2013 suffer the same issues as the previous years ?

Is the Diesel the better option ?

Any help goes a long way.

I know this is an old thread and I'm being a grave digger here on this section of the forum. Stay away from all automatics except the diesel. The diesel uses a different trans that uses a wet clutch and is rated for higher torque. IF you want to buy an auto Focus, go for the diesel.

I think only just now they went back to torque converters for their autos. So anything before will be DCT.

I'd go for a stick on any '12+ foci.

By all means, go stick if that's an option. Diesel is the best of the autos though, or I'm just lucky
