Any year of Focus have P N D 3 2 1 ?

I have an '08 Focus SE, with the automatic transaxle. The shifter is on the floor, but I only have a choice of Drive or Low for the forward gears.

The car gets a lot of use in places where it would be nice to be able to downshift to a lower gear when descending a long hill, rather than burn the brakes up trying to keep the speed down.

Does any other year (or trim level) of Focus have a shifter where all four speeds are available?

A quick search leads me to think that I have the 4F27E four speed auto trans.

Thanks, Dan

I don't think so.
Manual swap it and put it in whatever gear you want.

What on earth are you talking about? The trans can go into any gear. Nobody has 3 on one, they all go 1, 2, D, there. You have a small switch on the shifter that lets you drop from 4 to 3, and 2 is a separate choice on the shifter itself.

Drop in an 8M5P-7000-ARM tranny out of an SES... you'll never need to drop it down a gear again.
