Low Speed Lurch

My 16 drives great about 95% of the time. I put about 30k on my 2nd set of clutches before I got Tom's tune. Seems like when it's 85+ and high humidity I may still have a slight shudder. That or I'm feeling the gear changes more, but I'm not sure

However my biggest concern is this low speed lurch I'm still having. I'll move up 100-200 feet after leaving a drive thru or the bank and it feels like maybe the clutches are grabbing and releasing. Basically it feels like I shoot forward a little bit, as if I nudged the gas pedal. This especially seems to happen on ground that isn't level or sloped.

What I'd like to know is if this is normal, or if anyone else has this happen, especially if you're tuned. I should try to get ahold of Tom and see what he says, or maybe try capturing it on a datalog. I realize I'm probably being paranoid, but I want to be able to trust this car, and I'm still not 100% sold on if it's gonna be wise to keep it past the TCM extension. I'd love to drive this car until it dies completely, but not if I have ongoing TCM problems or clutch issues. I've been wanting to review the tune as well, as I feel it is a necessity for the DCT. I also worry if there's any damage being suffered when this happens. Some sort of explanation to what's going on would be great.

Any experiences are greatly appreciated.

Sounds good Tom. It's might take some work to replicate what I'm seeing but I'm sure we can get it on a log.

I had this problem with my 2018. Switch to premium fuel. Put a good fuel cleaner in like Lucas fuel system cleaner. After a few tanks with premium fuel it will go away, and will drive better than ever. Not BSing you.

What number fuel did you use? I'd hate to use premium long term, just too expensive for an economy car like the Focus.

Also, isn't fuel cleaner useless in a GDI engine?

It does this when I leave the last drive thru window and pull ahead a hundred feet or maybe more. Hit the gas, brake once I get where I want, then a lurch. Or maybe just shortly after accelerating.
