Thinking about K&N Air Filter

I have a 2013 Focus Sedan SE, no mods excluding adhesive rain and hood deflectors. Would I be able to replace my stock air filter with the performance one and at worst reset the computer, or is there more work to do? Thanks in advance!

So no prep or anything? I can buy it and toss it in? My car is bone stock, but my dealer is doing oil changes for me, which is a synthetic blend, if that means anything to worry about.

If you want more performance the computer reflash (tune) will do more. It's doubtful you'll notice any improvement with a K&N filter unless you go full throttle and compare it to a clogged paper filter.

I'd do the tune if it doesn't void my warranty and it's not expensive or hard to seek out.

Just buy and install the filter. You don't have to do anything else, but don't expect a performance increase, if that's your goal. Look into the snorkel delete threads.

I saw the snorkel delete videos and threads, the dyn085 one especially. I'll post an update in a week after I get paid and have an hour to tinker. I'm looking forward to the performance, sound and gas mileage everyone keeps talking about!
