Barely noticable gains? Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.

Make sure you remove the restrictive stock snorkel from the crossmember and put on the ST horn or the Ford Racing snorkel. I would also add the 63mm 2.3 Mustang TB for ~$80. The overpriced Roush airbox ($189) is basically just a overpriced OEM RS airbox ($65). The intake sounds great with either box when used with an open end filter but will also heatsoak. I would buy the end cap for the filter ($15) and use the stock box with capped filter in hot months and maybe use Roush in colder months.

When you combine intake, header, exhaust and tune, the main boltons combine for a very big difference in performance compared to stock and dynos prove that this combo is good for minimum 30whp over oem to upwards of 45+ whp depending on what grade of fuel you are tuned for, what other mods you have, how dialled in your tune is and generally differences as every car is different. There are now a few guys in the 190's (Whp) with just bolt ons and tune, 63mm tb, and other small mods.. these cars dyno around 145whp bone stock.

Now it's not all gravy, there is a small loss of lowend power which I do miss in that crawling city traffic, powerband has been moved higher, but a much more responsive mid to top end power increase and you can feel the extra torque, this car never ripped up steep hills stock like it does now.

Do you have a dyno plot showing the 190plus performance. I am building version 3 of a duratec 2.0 and I am in the plus 180’s but have collected the cores for a build using the newer platform. I am restricted in intake only and am questioning the cost to move over with all it requires without actually seeing this performance. My build has a stupid amount of time and development but we still need more to be competitive with the Honda builds under the 2 liter guidelines. Tom has work for hours with us on the dyno, three different headers with one of his newer ones up next, and two different cold air setups with third design by Tom coming. The ability to get above the 200 is where we need to be.

So I just bought the AEM intake and installed it tonight. I’ve had the Roush intake for 4 years and kinda got sick of it so figured I’d try something new. I also installed the ecoboost TB. Next up will be the 180 thermostat and then maybe a tune. Not sure if I want to do a header or not

One of the guys is on here, search in the performance base, I think the thread is breaking 200hp..I know a guy locally on e85 tune all the boltons and other mods making 220whp, I saw the dyno, and we get our dynos at the same place, but he took his post with it down on fb ff group.

See there is the issue of it’s not posted and I understand some not wanting to share. In my race series I won’t be sharing my info on the build and final results as that’s racing, but conversation and helping within the focus world should be encouraged. If they would share privately I would obviously keep it private. If any have asked I always share what we have done suspension wise and basic engine builds, both the good and the bad. Just need assistance. The goal is 2019 Scca Runoffs. It’s being held at VIR one of the south’s premier road courses. It’s my home track and I have enlisted the help of a few on this site and we have had tremendous success but we need more, first talent and horsepower. My team has been amazing but the Honda Miata contingents have a base of shared knowledge and I am one of the few racing a focus. So those with the new gen motors what say you can you share the info.

You know what, the dyno was posted on FB but all the trolls came out and still didn't believe him..sometimes this community is it's own worst enemy...not that long again, few even believed that just boltons and tune could get anyone into the 180's (whp), now they are into 190's.
