The Cast MK3 Manifold wont be 500 , more then likely less then 375.00 , still waiting on final pricing
My DIY MK3 Turbo kit would be the way to go for someone wanting to do there own turbo , hoses , waste gate , BOV etc

Like said before, seems like a wasted effort to go through that only to install the one part ST guys wish they could improve. I get the lower boost requirement thing, but there's also a lag/efficiency issue. Not to mention the fact that Tom has done the hard part for us.

Question, where are you getting the data that shows that the NA head is so much better than the EcoBoost head? And don't take the fact that Ford originally had a individual exhaust 2.0L GTDI head that they now sell as a Performance accessory for big power as proof somehow that the headifold is inferior to the lower power output GDI engine.

The restriction is really still in the turbocharger on the GTDI engine with or without the external exhaust port manifold.

I get most of my data from esslinger. Interesting that you mention the FRPP head because the 2.0 GDI head outflows that as well. My guess would be that ford used the headifold on everything for packaging purposes and that 1 cast part is cheaper than 2.

Just look at Tom's full kit if you want to see how efficient the NA 2.0 is with boost.

As for a pure performance standpoint, you are correct, the k03 turbo is shit. For a cheap, small power adder, it could be a decent option depending on your fabrication skills and how cheap you can put together the whole kit. It would also be a good jumping off point for future modifications.

Back on topic...Tom, will you personally be selling this manifold or will we have to get it from SPA? I would prefer my money goes to the designer and supporter of the community.
