OBX header without tune

Is there any danger in running a header without a tune?

I want to keep all my mods bolt on to preserve warranty

From what I understand if it's still on factory mapping it'll probably run really lean.
When installed the kn typhoon cai before getting my tunes from tom he said It was running really lean and too lean is bad

Yeah, don't do it. You need a tune to keep it from running lean.

Agreed, keep it and get the tune.

I ran my K&N CAI with my OBX header without a tune for 9-10 months. I ran on 93 Octane exclusively until I could afford the tune and I tell you what. That tune made the single biggest difference over any of the bolt ons I installed.

U shouldn't have a issue with warranty getting a tune.
Our dealers are ok with it at least

you run the risk of detonating when at WOT without tune.

and if you are worried about warranty and your dealer. just flash back to stock before going in. and then take your device out of the car.
