Hi!

So I went ahead and bought from ebay the RMM that is now used in the ST and electric Focus. The part number is CM5Z-6068A. When I received it, I instantly noticed it was made in China and was made of aluminum. Is this correct or did I just purchase a copycat product? The metal seems very rough in terms of cut and finish.

Pictures attached.

dead straight and flat out.. i wouldn't trust that in the car i parted to hold my engine up... god knows what that rubber is made of if its even the proper stuff

that part just looks.. supercheap

honestly return it and find a proper one if the seller refuses contact ebay and tell them you received a blatant chinese knockoff.. ebay is great for refunding for things like that...

that looks even more rough then the worst of fords stamped parts for edges

return it.... again if the seller refuses Ebay and paypal both have a very VERY strong policy on Sellers selling counterfeit shit...

I bought supposidly a genuine asus LCD screen for my laptop and when i received it.. it had no model number had no tags nothing the pictures on ebay showed the proper screen which is a Toshiba panel when i looked close i realised it was some hongjun or some crap chinese plant with C E (China Export) on it and under the ribbon cable i found a awful tilted printed thermal label with 2 sets of jibberish the panel model number and funny enough while on a tilt (built by AsusUSA) i died laughing i contacted the seller he said said it was real i sent a picture to asus and got a phone call saying 100% counterfeit the seller then stopped responded to me and blocked me from viewing his auctions. i called ebay sent the picture of the screen received and the auction number and i got a email back 3 hours later 100% refund seller was banned and a note saying they didnt even bother opening the auction the picture was point blank showing a fake

P.S. Laptops are Built by Asus USA.. the components and rest are sourced from other companies like samsung toshiba LG etc etc..

It doesn't hold the engine up, so any damages would be from the drive train twisting too much. Might even break the exhaust, or other items that get stretched/hit.

Actual full failure is probably unlikely, not working as well as hoped for is almost certain. Longevity is a question.
Well sounds like it doesn't do a lot of damage if the part is fake or crap quality. And you will feel the tq steer or vibration when it's wearing out. Might give it a try since it's 27 bucks, and seller rating is decent too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/121387885386

Toadster which ebay did you get it from? how much

Edit: haha found it in rockauto for 21 bucks, even better, and rock auto is usually reputable right? never purchased from them before, vendor from there is westar https://www.rockauto.com/en/partsearch/?partnum=CM5Z-6068

kinda looks like mine which came from a Ford dealership..mine has "up" molded in the rubber on top side and does not have a made in china sticker.. the quality looks pretty rough on the one i got and was I actually wondering if it had been a "used" part.

Due to shipping costs, it's not worth returning. I'm going to try out the part and hope any failure of the part is slow enough that I'll notice a change before damage to other components occur. I'm thinking that if the rubber slowly fails, I will start to notice more gradual movement in the engine again.

Hey man so how did the rmm work out? Actually where do you guys get the real one and not crappy or fake ones? found one for as cheap as 27 bucks to 30 are those the real deal? 27 bucks that seems like a good price.

Oh yeah and tq specs on the bolts? Had it in my old pc but can't find it now.

Where do you think majority of your parts are made from? China lol.

It's laughable that you guys think the quality might be compromised. You should give up your cellphones, TV's and anything electronic while your at it. It too was also, "Made In China".
