for any one doing this update, the needed shifter comes from cars with the 201a upgrade package or if buying new it is the one with leather shift handle for a for 2012 to 2014 the number is BV6Z-7210-MC
after taking the old one out and looking at the 10 pin harness plug marked c3245 in the wiring diagram I found all I had to do was plug in new used one i found on ebay,

using a modified elm change the body and cluster shifter "number 243 shifter type to select shift .yes the dash lights up with several warnings and after done I had a fault code of lost cluster communication that needed to be cleared .

Anyone have a tutorial on how to get the airbag out of a 2015 or 2016 steering wheel? I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the clips undone. I've tried twisting, I've tried leveraging in either direction. I have two stubby screwdrivers, one narrower, one wider, and neither are doing jack. Any help appreciated.

I had to twist the screw driver to release the bar and pull out on the bag. It wouldn't pop away from the wheel by itself.

Here's my version of adding paddle shifters to a 2015+ via swapping in a whole new wheel.

Thanks to everyone on this thread for all the guidance, particularly @bonzo333. Couldn't have done it without seeing everything here.

I really want to add just the + gear/ -gear selectshifter to my car, has anyone done this to a 2016 se? dose anyone know exact name of the software I will need to use for the Central ECU Edit on my 2016?

has any1 ever heard of ford dealers or even mechanics doing a selectshift conversion or some kind or similar adding of available options to any vehicle? because I would gladly pay to have the select shift gear selector with the proper corresponding ECU configuration added to my car

thanks in advance.
