I also just learned that the extended trans warranty is only until September 2013 build date. I've now just lost even more respect for Ford. This means I was only covered on the transmission until 60k miles. That's absolutely terrible and because of how they handle this, I don't know if I'm gonna buy from them in the future.

It's either extend the life with Tom's tune, or have to fork $1000 over to Ford to replace the clutches when they likely fail. They want to make if shift like it has a torque converter? That will never happen. The differences I've felt between stock and Tom's is subtle but the thing is, the stock tune *still* to me doesn't shift like a true torque converter trans.

BTW Tom, is there a certain RPM range in the stock tune that you change? It's probably the lower gears? When I flashed back to stock it felt jumpier from take off. I can tell there's a difference but I certainly have to pay attention. I also did a clutch scrub prior to the tune so I didn't have much shudder going on anyway.

Wonder who's had a DCT with Tom's tune and the most miles. Just something I'm curious about.

Has Ford mostly figured out the TCM issues? I'm guessing they aren't related to tuning as to why they fail. I know the car fax that came with my car showed 14M02 work in February 2017. About 3 months before I started payments. Don't quite understand why 150k miles is the definitive warranty on TCM, yet the clutches go to 60k unless you have an early model.
