I got mine installed tonight, very easy install with nice colored instructions. I also have the Steeda RMM with the 88 da bushings in it that I had installed about a month ago. Overall impressions are great, there is more vibration, especially from about 1500 to 2300. At idle its like stock, same with cruising on the highway at 70. I did a before and after video, before with just the steeda RMM and after with the steeda RMM and turbo tech upper mount. Going to try and upload them tonight.
Awesome, that will be good to see, glad to hear about the vibrations, I am going cobb 85 duro and this 90% highway driving, so vibs shouldn't be an issue.
I installed this mount tonight and even though I was used to the RMM I could still tell a LARGE difference in this mount. In short im a very happy with it and glad I made the purchase.
Sounds really good a little rasp here and there is thea the vibration they are talking about between 1800-2300 I believe. What kind of exhaust and intake do you have?
so mounts are going to make it sound like an open intake on my 2013 sounded louder then the 2012 I'll have them check the mounts next visit now that I think about it it dose have more of a vibration at idle.
Thanks
There is definitely a difference in the sound of the engine now. I like it though, the noise is worse when the windows are up but it's tolerable. I have a rattle in the steering column thats's bad around 2100 rpm's, other then that I don't mind having both mounts at all.
Just got my UMM in mat black, Canada Customs had it for like 4 days!!! Tax man got me for $19.04[scream] after I already paid $40+ for shipping. Just glad to have the mount in my hands. Turbo Tech packed it nicely with lots of foam wrap and 2 stickers[8D]. For everyone that already installed it, what are the ft/lbs for the bolts to tighten too? Thanks. Pics and review to come shortly. I need to finish tomorrows 24 hr shift then I will have time to install.
$19 isn't to bad for Canada taxes, going fed ex or ups seems like the taxes would be like $50... That is why we only ship USPS to Canada. Saves you $ in the long run.
Not complaining, just letting other Canadians know what they are in for in total cost to them. Fed Ex and UPS will have the same $19.04 Tax, the rest of the $50 will be in brokerage fees. I always go USPS priority or registered, that way it gets to me without the brokerage fees. Also, it seems like Customs only catches like 1 in 6-7 packages that go through[neener].
Mine came today.... Only trouble I had putting it on was removing the coolant bottle.. My back tab had a lip and it was a [][][][][][]** to get off..
Pretty happy with the mount though. My WOT is insane now. Cabin vibrations a little crazy right now though, my rear view mirror vibrates like I have some serious competion system in the trunk lol
No idea what the torque specification are either... Just made them hand tight +
Installed my motor mount tonight. The vibes aren't too bad, and the throttle response of my DCT is improved drastically! I am very happy with the performance and the motor feels much happier now. I also have the e-focus rear motor mount installed. Both are working great together !
