take off the seatbelt cover before you take off the rear panel. At first i thought i had to take out my seats to get access to the panel. with the seat out it made it really easy to get the panel off. You can also get the panel off with the seat in though. 3 body clips up top, some on the b pillar and two clips on the back of the panel. not that hard to do. don't force it if it doesn't come off. make sure there is nothing else in the way.

Focuson03: Makes more sense as you put it - thanks for telling it clearly. My reason for dumping the big panel is to put sound deadening on whatever is under it. I want QUIET - instead of sounding like a roller skate on a gravel road! I stripped all of the useless factory 'stick-on' strips on the floor and cleaned the surface so the new sound deadening material would stick good. I'm looking for a site showing each panel in detail and how it is attached .....If there IS one.
