C MAX suspension

I’m wanting to do some suspension upgrades to my C MAX and wanted to see if anyone knew if focus parts would fit my car? I’ve tried searching for parts and haven’t been able to find anything except some D2 coil overs. It seems like the only people that own my car are either older or have no interest in mods. I did see on another forum that another C MAX owner had possibly found out that all the dimensions of the Focus are the same so any parts would fit. I’m definitely gonna swap out the tires and would like to do some coil overs and front and back sway bars.

It's based on the same platform, but its suspension tuning is completely different because of its much higher weight and different weight distribution.

If there's no aftermarket specifically for the C-Max, then you're absolutely out of luck.

I feel like focus parts like sway bars would work. It has the same dimensions as the focus which is all that matters with these type of parts. Weight and height has nothing to do with suspension parts except for the coil overs and there is a company that makes them. The car has a very good feel already it just needs some help with body roll which I feel tires, coil overs, and sway bars would fix that right up. For a hybrid it goes pretty fast too. That electric motor gives it low range pull almost like a turbo. I’d say it’s faster than a regular focus.

You are a potato.

EDIT:

Sorry, let me rephrase.

I feel like you are a potato.

I'd say you are a potato.

No one is going to be able to answer this. My best answer is for you to be a guinea pig and find out if it works or not. Example I have a 2010 Ford Focus SE it doesn't have a rear sway bar, but the SES Focus does have a rear sway bar. Now could I take the SES sway bar off and put it on my car no, because the rear subframe is different and doesn't have the holes for it.

I got ya man. I guess I’ll find a good place that allows refunds and try it out. I wonder how difficult it would be to fabricate one from scratch? Maybe there’s a company out there willing to try. The only reason I came on here was to see if any Focus people had seen or heard of anything with the C Max. I really don’t see why people wouldn’t want to mod this car. It has a wide profile and really good low end torque. I feel like if I just throw on the D2 coil overs and some high performance tires I’ll get more agility. I’m also going to see if I can get a shop to fabricate a cat back exhaust for it.

Well the main reason somebody wouldn't put high performance tires on a hybrid it kills the fuel mileage. The tires manufacturers pick for a hybrid are designed for a specific purpose. Good grip kills fuel mileage.

Well I’m getting 40 mpg now so I think I can take a hit in fuel economy. I’m not worrying about any loss, I’m just wanting to pull the most performance I can out of the car. Anything is possible.
