The ST is amazing, but the RS... Well, how many turbo AWD hatchbacks has Ford put into production over the years? I think the RS is unique, special, and will carry value. Whereas the ST is a pretty much just a jazzed up SE (that's just my honest opinion, no one murder me).
Will the ST give you everything you want, or will you feel like you're settling in some kind of way?
Vehicles that are controlled by modules will not carry much value long term. As modules are discontinued, the value of the vehicle will plummet due to risk of the vehicle becoming inoperative. Also, the RS is not and will never be a "rare" car, even if it's the only car Ford has produced with it's particular feature set. Ford has simply built too many of them.
