So, I'm looking to replace the stock head lights in my 2010 Focus SES. I absolutely hate my headlights, they aren't bright at night and even with the high beams on it's still difficult to see. I wanted to replace the stock lights for something that's brighter but I also don't want all other drivers to hate me lol. Would you suggest HID, LED, Halogen, other and where in Canada can I purchase them from? Also about how much is it to get the new bulbs installed? I asked a local shop this question and they're going to call me next week with a quote. I'm only looking to spend around $100-150max for brighter lights. Down the road I want to get some halo's put in but for now just need a quick and cheaper fix. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks :)

Do HID they are bright, LED will just be too bright for daily driving, and the headlights are easy to take out, there are 3 bolts(i think 10 mm) you can see from the top, take them out then work the headlight out of the clip on the bottom that is attached to the bumper

The LED Halo projectors that a lot of us had worked very well for me. I had them with 5000K HID's and combined with 3000K HID fogs, I could see EVERYTHING and never once was flashed by an oncoming car. I also never used the high beams. I highly recommend those, however it's at a price point of around $300.

Another option is retrofitting the stock housing so that HIDs can be used in them. I've never done this, but plenty of members on here took that route.

Do not put HIDs in the stock housing. In terms of upgradable bulbs for the stock housing, I got some that were "highly" rated, but they really didn't do much difference.

I would recommend you to go with a set of projector headlights equipped with Halos or LED strips. Of course, they are not as bright as HID lights, yet are guaranteed to enhance your road visibility greatly as well. Most of the sets are manufactured to plug right into your OE sockets. They will allow you to reuse your factory bulbs, yet I would recommend you to get them replaced as well: https://www.carid.com/car-bulbs.html

By the way, we also do ship to Canada. Please note that these shipments are treated as all other international shipments, so please find the details here: https://www.carid.com/help-center/shipping.html
