How-To : Sparkplug Removal, Sparkplug Change, Changing Sparkplugs

Always put safety first; using jackstands, eye protection, and all other required safety measures. It is also recommended to have supervision whenever possible.





Items Needed:
1. Motor Oil
2. Funnel
3. Shop or paper towel
Install Time: Difficulty Level:

Directions:
Step 1
Park your car on a level surface and let the engine cool for 30 minutes. Remove the dipstick from the engine.
Step 2
Wipe away the oil from the dipstick.
Step 3
Reinsert the dipstick and remove immediately.
Step 4
Check the oil level on the dipstick. If the oil level is low then please proceed to the next step. Otherwise reinsert the dipstick and your task is complete. Your ideal oil level is in between the two indicators on the dipstick.
Step 5
Remove the oil cap from the engine by turning it counter-clockwise.
Step 6
Insert a funnel into the hole.
Step 7
Slowly poor about a quarter quart of oil into the funnel and repeat step 1 until your oil is at the proper level. Recap your oil cap once everything is complete.
