yeah I'm fine...I have now learned that if it will fit under the bumper it is getting mushed. I think that it would be a whole lot easier to buy a new tire and possibly get it re-aligned... I just have to watch out for Bambi now..deer won't fit under the bumper.

Oh I got the car fixed. This happened on October 17th 2004 @ 4:44am. Insurance paid around 5K to fix it. For everybody who has State Farm: Pick a service first provider-that way if the body shop screws up then you get it fixed with no hassle. I did run over a skunk a few months ago..it had already gone to skunk heaven..but I did feel good about it.

Yeah, even if it wont fit under the bumper(not much but an ant will) i plow through it. Better to fix a bumper than to total the car.

yeah but i agree with him. you know whats gonna happen if you hit pepe crossin the street. you don't know what can happen if you give the wheel a good yank.

------------------------------
SVT squad # 108

Here's what mommy should have told you to do when you downshift:
1. Step on the clutch
2. Simultaneously slide the shifter into a lower gear and give the throttle a quick, amazingly precise jab to rev the engine to exactly the rpm it needs to be at in the next gear
3. Quickly let out the clutch

Oh sure, It takes a few thousand tries before you get the timing and precision of your jab just right, but the reward is that you no longer suck.

Ouch.... I'm glad that you're ok, and that you took out revenge on a skunk. I agree with Fspeed though, plow through it, and just try not to total it. I've hit squirrels, possums, a stupid cat that darted in front of me at the last minute, and about 2" from hitting a deer. As far as body shops go, your local State Farm agent can assist you with shops that are a good body shop, and won't give you any hassle. I had my front bumper cover, fog light assemblies, radiator, and a/c condenser busted from a guy losing stuff off the back of his truck. My body shop fixed the car, and I still had busted fog assemblies. I took it back, and they slapped some new ones in, in under 10 minutes. Take it easy, and hope things look up for you.
