I wanna replace my head unit with an aftermaket stereo. Do you know if that would affect with Sync?

I was wondering the same thing. Is the Sync system effected at all?

idk how it would effect sync but I know that you could still retain Bluetooth but you would need an additional wiring harness for your sync. you may or may not be able to retain your steering wheel controls. I put a 7" in dash dvd player in my old coupe and they told me that if I had sync(which I didn't) I would of needed an additional harness and deplending on the head unit I got i may or may not be able to use steering wheel controls(which i didn't because of no sync). just look and ask around.

I was just wondering how hard this is to do. I know they make kits so that I could put a double din radio in aftermarket. What I am wondering though is what purpose does the current display serve. Would the screen still tell time and display what songs I am listening too? I imagine it would still tell the time.
