It IS a stain...some kind of oily stain or something. It appeared after i installed a hi-flow cone air filter. It may be a coincidence or it could be somehow related...

Don't fret fella, that's just your breather tank hose. It takes oily fumes from the head (above the cams) and drains it back down to the sump. The pipe might be a little loose, so if you're worried, use a metal spring clip, or a ziptie to snug it up.

mine does the sme, and i don't have a high-flow filter. i'm considering putting one in, but it doesn't have anything to do with it. it's not a biggie, don't worry about it

just to let ya know that is actually the oil breather tube that takes all of the fumes aka the blow by of gas and hot air around your valves and it actually will help you in the long run by helping to oil your cylinder walls in the combustion chamber. It is there to actually do something good for your engine it won't kill your engine indefinetely but it will not help it out any if you put a cool little breather filter on it but i would just keep it on there and leave it be so take it for what it is worth.
