Looks good, except for the entire old air intake system was not removed (Front piece that goes under the battery) the Volant intake is a good start, and the wire cover looks good along with the coolant cover. The only thing that messes up the look is the old intake piece. (Its not hard to remove) Is that the stock hood? cuz mine came with insulation on it.

Yeah it's the stock hood, the '02 doesn't come with insulation. As for the old part of the intake system, why in the world would I remove that, if not to replace it with the SVT or Iceman piece, the Volant box has the opening in the bottom to continue drawing air from it, and the volant seals onto the hood on the top, so I'd actually be getting worse by removing the snorkel.

It's funny how people think they are smart and make completly stupid comments. Removing the snorkel w/ a volant, lol.

after 01 they decided it didnt need the insulation..i !HEARD! that with the 00-01 models if you take off the front plastic piece in front of the snorkel and the resonator and the insulation on the hood that it gives you 5 hp. heh?

you won't get 5 hp by removing that bit of plastic... you'll get more air, but if anything, you'd only see any power increase while driving, and at most probably 1hp

Looks great. I have the same intake. Volant is definately the best. LMFAO at the comment made earlier by focus4dr. Its funny when people think they know what they are talking about, when they have no idea.

Yeah, sometimes people just don't know, or they get bad advice from someone dumber than they are. It happens. Volant is gone now, went back to stock, mainly because, well it wasn't doing it for me, it was just too damn loud.
