I was going to paint them all red but I got to the R and thought it looked good. Touched up the black as well.

That does look cool, though reminiscent of Type-R's scheme. What'd you use to paint the letter so finely? My '1' has rubbed off, and some of the other numbers could use a touch-up.

I agree that it copies the Type R scheme, but it looks pretty nice. All the numbers painted along with the R probably wouldn't look too bad either.

I used an acrylic based paint. Probably something better out there but that worked for me. The knob still looks just like that too so it does last.

hell yeah i did the same thing too. i sanded my knob down first. left to right till the scratches from previous owner were out and then scratched out old numbers and wiped it down with alcohol and filled in the numbers with 58 cent acrylic paint. did my royal blue though and sanding it from left to right made the knob look smoother and cool.
