No, Ford's idea of a cold air intake is that the filter housing is located inside the driver's fender, and the air intake for the filter runs up the inside of the fender to back near the door and sucks air from inside the fenderwell.


Now maybe they changed this for 2006..... that I don't know, but 2005 has the set-up I described.
