Check Engine Light After SVT Header Install

So i was told after i installed svt headers and exhaust the check engine light would come on. Since this is my daily driver i still want it dependable and the check engine light to only come on if i really need to check my engine. Also i was told id only get 10hp tops?? Plus i was told the timing could mess up? Thoughts and advice?

Well before I completely get it put on I want to make sure the check light engine light will work the way it's supposed to. A guy at the shop I go too said it will be on once header is changed.

The SVT has no EGR valve. Are you using an SVT cat with your set up?

Yes you will get a light

The SVT header does not use EGR like the Zetec , causes a CEL , That CEL can be turned off in a tune
The SVT header installed on the Zetec for engine safety requires a custom tune and wide band air fuel gauge , some will say I am trying to sell you something but I am not , I have tuned dozens of SVT headers on the Zetec and you need a tune

You will have to mod the comnnection from SVT header to Zetec exh
You will hve to move the PS line
you will need a SVT dipstick and tube

Do all this and it will prove to be the #1 best mod you do

Tom

Yes I'll use an svt cat. And for Tom how would I get a tune to make the CFL work properly? Once svt headers are installed?
