it should have a mounting hole, the thing is if its tapped correctly (if tapped at all).

thielt1 is building a RS. It has a different way of mounting the CV:

I do see the problem now. The bracket actually mounts the opposite of my previous pic. Its an upside down L. The bottom of the L mounts with two bolts on the block using the bolt and the other one holding the bracket as pictured in ImInHells pic above and the single bolt mounts in the windage tray. These DO NOT line up on my current windage tray at all, they are off by almost 2 inches. I've seen it myself, so that's the problem.

I do believe it having seen it. So Steve's not trying to screw me, it's an actual problem as odd as it may be......... Steve does have all of the old parts so Im less inclined to think something fishy is going on. BIG THANKS for chiming in iminhell!!!!!

Wait, yours mounted to the block?

Every Focus zetec I've seen mounts to the windage tray only (btw, I was the guy someone earlier was talking about breaking a tray):

The mount goes to the 2 bottom holes and the 3rd is the broken one. (the 2 bolts are where the exhaust bracket goes)

Here's a bit clearer picture (yes that's my engine):

If you have something that mounts to the block, it's not a Focus part. must be Contour or ZX2 ... and I'd tried looking for pictures of theirs to no avail.

I was assuming that mine mounts to the block due to your picture with the bolt and the new part you were talking about. The distance looks right for the L shaped mounting bracket. I don't know for sure Satan! So I am probably wrong! LOL wouldn't be the first time. I do know the windage tray doesn't have enough mounting holes.

That was Magus referring to you, he didn't say out loud though.
