The other "too tight" problem some have had with the throttle body connection is distorting the TB enough so the throttle plate sticks - no relation to the MAF.

Do you have the filter end held up? The weight of the filter sometimes doesn't allow for a good seal around the throttle body if it is left hanging

Havent had a focus for a while... but isnt there a hose somewhere there that needs to be connected to the valve cover. Possibly causing an issue?

This wouldnt cause his problem then would it? Just might cause a leaky valve cover right? if i remember right.

something is loose. i switched from spectre to AEM way better!! go with AEM intake!
