SVT dipstick tube

Hey everyone so I just did the SVT swap and I am just wondering how everyone else got there SVT dipstick tube in.
I had a hell of a time getting the zetec one out of there had to wiggle and pull and pull. I ended up being able to cut the o ring and then it came out with a good pull.
Took some pics of what it looks like now but I know it needs to go in more but don't know how to do it without bending the tube, its also not leaking any oil atm.

Did you coat the o-ring in oil before you tried to install it? I just replaced my o-ring and it went in smoothly with fresh oil on it.

Now that I think of it I had trouble getting my dipstick with the original o-ring back in, I broke the o-ring and I had to replace it with one I had from a water faucet assortment. After awhile I started to leak like I thought it would.

I just replaced it with the proper o-ring I bought from Tousley and slipped right in, so maybe you need a new one. The o-ring might swell up after time to make a good seal and makes it hard to reuse.

I bought the tube from ford a couple months ago.
You think the o-ring swelled up from just sitting around ?
I think ill try taking off the o-ring and seeing if i can put the tube in without if so then the o-ring is too big. or just have to keep trying to put it in there.

Didn't know it was brand new, the replacement ring I got wasn't the green one like the original. Keep trying to wiggle it in there I guess.
