So maybe the tension is not right on the timing belt? I think the belt shouldn't really move.

The belt is not moving other than rotating. think of a rotating tire. now ever so slightly rest your finger against the side wall of a rotating tire. your finger is going to get warm and leave it there (even if slightly resting against it) you will eventually remove skin. Your finger will get warm also. think of this now just at a much larger time frame with aluminum.

I understand. Would you still recommend it? You said that the belt still looks good but you may have to get a new pulley

Other than to say you have it the aftermarket pulley list do nothing for performance. I would put $100 else where into my car. If so.e one gave them to me I would put them on, but would not pay to get them
