It only sits up higher due to the bolt head. If it were the VF mount it would have a screw on top that requires a 27MM socket. But even if you did have a stock box, it would still work with the Steeda mount. I had plenty of room under my box with the VF mount.

So your saying the steeda mount for the drivers side would work for me w/ a d-tech motor? I wouldn't have to mod my battery box that sits on top of the mount?
