Cv axle problems!

okay so i heard a clunking in my car during corners and it got diagnosed as a cv joint. so instead of toying with the joint i bought a new axle but now i have come to realize i bought a driver side axle and the bad joint is on the passenger side. im wondering if i can use the same axle for the passenger side is there any difference? it is a 2003 Ford Focus Sedan

They're different, one will be longer than the other. You'll need to get the passenger side one. Many people suggest doing both at the same time so you might think about doing the drivers side also. I replaced only the passenger side about 2 years ago due to money being tight and have had no problems since then.

The passenger side is a much easier change than the driver's side. I wouldn't mess with the driver's side axle if you don't have to.
