So going with a stock pump with stock gears I should be fine?

It looks like Massive has a Ford Racing oil pump. Any different from the stock oil pump?

Or should I wait for C-F-M to get more of their gears in stock?

Edit:

Massive: Only sells the Ford Racing pump
TopSpeed: (appears to no longer be a sponsor of FF?) Does not have anything
C-F-M: Only has the stock pump in stock (still no ETA on their performance gears)

The Ford Racing pump is the same as the stock pump , If your going to stay under 7400 then just go with the stock pump

Am I right to assume that there is not much point in going over 7,400 RPM? IIRC for any power up their you need to do the custom intake and the independent throttle body changes. Even with that the top end (the Cams, valves, and porting) does not really push our power band up into those revs right?

Guess I can always pull the pump at a later date if I want to and install the gears I suppose.

I have seen very few dynos that made power to even 6800 let alone 7400 , Unless you going for 400+ you wont need to go past 7-7200

1turbo, you are about the haughtiest I've met. You laugh at everyone else's ideas, the true mark of an--well I just won't say it. Nowhere does it seem to enter your brain that other ideas than your own might work, everybody else is wrong, wrong, wrong or just 'silly' and you can do no wrong at all, about as radical as one can get in social insecurity. It just gushes out of you. You seem to have a great need to be able to reinforce your own beliefs by stepping all over those of others while LOLing them all the while like it's funny. Yet you, or any other single man, do not know everything. From what you put out there I can see I've done some things that apparently would be impossible in your world of closemindedness.

I grew up through the implementation of dry sump on drag cars. Not the entire range of its' use of course but I got enough of it to know that anybody saying what I put out there was silly is showing.........well he's showing he's simply not as smart as he thinks he is. To you that'd be some burden, I guess LOLing it is after all best for you since you have no other way to resolve it in your head because you simply aren't able to. You certainly at times don't seem to be smart enough to use the greatest tool an engine builder has, the ability to be critical of your own output..........

If dry sump is so damn reliable then pray tell explain to those unlearned on the site why manufacturers don't put them on vehicles today. They could make more power and add mileage, both well proven facts. More problems and added cost is the reason why. Dry sump is almost always used on short life vehicles, not a mark of reliability. Even you cannot change that fact.

I am planing on going to only about 350HP, and its going to be a daily driver.

As far as a manufacture installing one on production vehicles, there was a Mercedes that had one from the factory, and the only problem it had was that it used a oil cooler also and the average person was never able to get the temp up to the right temp.

not the most scientific site but a fairly well referenced site (operated by Discovery channel).

Correct set limiter to 7400 , I have taken my SVT to many tracks making over 320HP on the all stock engine with no issues ever , 152.2 MPH on the front stretch at VIR on GPS

Unless your doing a full blown race car where you can hook up hard where you can keep high speed through the corners dont worry about it

I'd go for a

windage tray/crank scraper

and a

accusump (or equivalent) for pressure drops.

the accusump sounds like a good idea, even good with a Turbo as it will provide some oil to the turbo after shut down. And for the NA you have instant pressure at start up.

not sure on the scraper... wouldn't the oil cloud provide lubricating of the block and cylinder walls?

the accumulator would also be an easy addition after the build is done and if I find that I do need it or want it, it would be an easy addition.
