SVT exhaust on sedan

Has anyone put a stock SVT cat back onto a 2000 Sedan SE? I was just wondering because a buddy of mine has a SE and i know a guy parting out a SVT and he offered me the whole exhaust cheap. I know its a decent performance upgrade, and would deffintely wake up his car a little bit. If anyone can find someone thats done it, or has a thread on it that would be great!

OBX cat back, Drag racing 17" Rims, FC 65mm TB, AEM short ram intake, Mach HID's, yakima roof rack.

... yeah, shes a polished turd...

I've done it on my 03 zts.

The exhaust is too short by 4 inches or so. You will need to buy a stainless straight pipe and have a shop weld it on. Since the guy is going to have to cut his exhaust to get it out, just ask him to cut it near the muffler on a straight piece.

Make sure you get a stainless straight pipe too. I didn't specify, And my local shop just used mild steel. It rotted off within two years although the rest of the exhaust was fine.

The flange will not fit the zetec flex pipe. But you can slot the bolts to make it go on. My svt exhaust that I bought used came without the flange so I had the shop weld a new one in. This is also an option.

It's a great exhaust. Unless you plan on going fi there is zero benefit from a bigger exhaust than the 2.25 "svt ( and in fact anything bigger than 2.5" will hurt performance due to loss of back pressure)

Your friend will see some gains, athough he is still going to be restricted at the flex. He may want to consider buying the exhaust and hanging on to it and maybe picking up a used svt header, hi flo cat and flex on the bst forums if it's within his budget.

Lmk if you have any other questions.
