Im thinkin bout removing my car's mid pipe and cat. The catalyst i may substitutefor a high flow cat but im not sure yet. They tell me it will be louder and that it will spice things up a bit on the performance side. What do u think???
You will get some gains out of the operation if you switch to a High Flow Cat. Some say that having your OEM header on with the High Flow might shorten the life of it but I have no personal proof of that.

I think you've got that backwards. If you put a shorty header on top of the OEM cat it'll shorten the OEM cat's life. With a highflow and the OEM header you're just going to have a bottleneck, making the highflow all but pointless.
If you just take the stock stuff off the underside of your car and never replace it you will cause all kinds of damage to the underside. It isn't meant to have hot exhaust gases spewing all over it. If you are going to take the stock stuff out, make sure you ahve a race header or high flow cat in its place.
Yes I have already decided to order the High Flow cat and the focussport header race header and flexpipe. Once that is here i will take the midpipe off. It's not as easy as it seems.
true dat. The only long tube header that can be used with a bolt in cat is the SVT header. Other headers can have cats welded behind them if you so please.
The parts come in a combo. The 4 2 1 Header and the flexpipe from focussport come both for $475.00. So if they both come in a combo then im thinking they should fit and bolt just fine.
Im not sure if you kno what a cat (catylitic converter) is, the long tube header replaces the stock maifold, removes cat, connects to the flex pipe, then out the catback. There is no room for a hi flow cat (catylitic converter) because its a longtube header not a shorty header.
Do you mean you got the focus sport race header, flex pipe and catback?
