In reality though the SVTF cams might need the springs to go with them due to them being so aggressive. It wouldn't be a drop in per say

The thing that intrest me so much is that I have heard people say they ran an intake cam and the stock zetec exhaust cam, with a tune and cam gears. So if its worked in the past with aftermarket cams, then why not with the escort cam?

Next question, does the focus and escort use the same cam gears?

it would not work without a lot of modification and really is not worth the time and trouble.

The ZX2 Exh cam will not work in the Focus head and neither of the SVT cams will work in the Focus head

To add the ZX2 cam to the Focus you need to find a mechanical ZX2 cam (they made both mechanical and hydrolic) then you need to get 1 adj cam gear , install the cam and adj gears and then dyno to get the gear set all for about 3 to 6HP , why not install a set of Comp stg 2 cams and do it right

The adj gears are still needed , dyno is still needed and the cams will cost more but in the end it will be a mod worth doing vs the zx2 Intake cam alone
