FR 9mm or Steeda 8mm

I was told today that i should switch out my FR 9mm plug wires for some 8mm wires because 9mm is too big for me unless i do some massive massive engine work which i dont plan to, just basic bolt ons and some engine work but not a total NA makeover. I was told it is unsafe to run 9mm wires with the stock setup, anyone want to justify this arguement and help me decide if i need to switch to the steeda 8mm wires?

I sell 9mm wires all day at work and have never heard of a single problem. Every once in a while I will have customer come back and tell me that he can feel a small bit improvement(not much to really count). Most people buy them because they look bad ass. Thats my 2 pennys worth anyways.

Sounds like whoever is telling you that is trying to make a buck. I have never heard of 9mm wires causing any problems. I have them and haven't came across any problems and I don't have massive engine work. If any thing, they have improved my car.

Theirs nothing wrong with it, the bigger the better, less resistance and more sparking power if you have an upgraded ignition. If anything it may be a little overkill for a stock ignition set-up but it will not hurt anything.

Its because technically all you need is 8mm. hence the FS ones being 8, and i think screamin demon livewires are too. But it doesnt really matter, the FR wires wont hinder the car at all. Mine just smoothed out the idle, love em. + as stated, it adds some color to the engine.

I like my Steeda's but if you already have the FR wires just keep them in there. No use spending cash on something you really don't need.
