I think the factory ztec is 58 if i am correct....my question is does the 65mm tb with an auto transmission cause any problems or mess things up? I saw that the UDP can hurt the alternator and make the coolant temperature higher because of decrease in water pump circulation. So I decided if it is going to mess up my car I dont want to put an UDP on there, but I still would like to do a throttle body so I can have faster acceleration....
with a throttle body u should have no problems if u install it right, all it does it gives u better throttle response, not much in acceleration but if u take your time installing u will have no problems.
A udp won't hurt your car. Many folks have them on for a few years with no ill effects. As for a TB. Its just allowing more air in (still restricted by the intake if you haven't changed that up to) More air isn't going to harm your car in any shape or form.
I have a TB and it works fine, no problems and much better throttle response. I also have a UDP and no problems.
