Here is a pic of my intake valves with 100k running a short ram with PCV connected to the intake and a small filter on the valve cover....



there was a light coating of oil at the bottom of the intake. Not enough that it was going to make it's way back up into the cylinders though...... Honda's have a really bad setup. The PCV is on the top of the intake manifold and the oil runs straight into the runners.... bad design. Guessing that is why they have the new design that actually has it at the lowest point of the manifold.


I do agree that the running no intake filter was a stretch.....

This was an OLD thread before nboyles had a question...

Whatever your decision about venting to atmosphere, keeping in mind the air flow of the zetec PCV system vs. duratec for example helps keep it running well.

Zetec PCV intake air is un-metered (from before the MAF) while the duratec uses metered air from after the MAF in the intake design.

This can affect tuning & your decisions on plumbing the system.
