How to check motor mount, broken?

Heres a dumb question, How do you check if a motor mount is broken or needs to be replaced? Are there any ways to check or any changes i should look for while car is running?

Well, loud clunks as you load/unload the engine while driving are a bad sign. The easiest way to check is with two people, start the car and with the emergency brake set rock the car in gear, if the engine is rocking more than a little you have a bad mount. You can also check by using a pry bar near each mount, but I haven't done that so I don't have much to offer in that department. Good luck!

i know one of mine is blow b/c the mounts have like a liquidy/greasey substance in them....so that's another way to tell if they're blow, if there is a bunch of crap around the mount
