Dual Exhaust Tips

This site has always been helpful to me, esp. when I've needed it the most. My question is this...
I will be installing within the year an SVT modified header with flex, high-flow cat and a Magnaflow muffler. From the header back to the muffler (or from the header to cat) will be 2.5in pipe then from there will be 2.25 pipe out to the back, where I would LOVE to do dual tips, my thought would be to go with 2in pipe to each tip. My concern with all that is the pipe size (too big to small) Will the dual tips neg. affect my backpressure in a way where I will lose HP, and is there anyone out there that has had experience with running dual tips on a Focus? How did you go about doing it? Your input is greatly appreicated.

All the enigine has on the intake side is a semi-custom SRI with a big 10in cone air filter.

I wouldn't worry too much about backpressure. If you lose anything it would be like 1-2hp at most, a lot of dynos aren't even that accurate. The problem with doing the dual exhaust is running it under the axle, which will pretty much always have to be done. A friend of mine Evan has a dual exhaust setup, you may want to pm him. His user name is warneej. He'll tell you all about his if you ask.

I just got the SAP Diffuser... and I'm looking into a dual exhaust set-up for show. Anyone have a lead to a how-to for this... or the best route to take?
