Any experience with Nankang Nobel sport tires

Came across these tires online. Yeah they are cheap. Anybody even have a set or heard anything at all about them? Taiwan and Chinese made I'm sure.

Read a few reviews which for the most part where positive. Who knows the persons that wrote the reviews though.

Usually I buy good stuff, this is new territory for me.

I don't drive the car hard or even close.

235/45/18 tire size

They are dirt cheap less than 250 set of 4 shipped. I joked today at work "I wonder if they hold air"

I'd be ok with middle of the road at that price. That would be about the cheapest dag gone tire I've ever bought.

Usually price is not what dictates my purchases, but that's hard to look away from.

I'd hate to see anything that happens to you or others if one of the tires has a issue.

I'd be lying if I said that didn't spook me. I can only imagine the lack of quality control.

I have nankang NS-20 I believe they are and absolutely love them. Summer tire of course but grips and rides extremely well. 205-45-17. Was like $120 a tire installed at Tire Discounters.

I'll check for sure when I get home.

On the one hand, DOT has high standards that a passenger tire has to meet to be legally sold in the US.

On the other hand, tires that don't meet those standards are often discovered "by accident" (pun intended).

No matter how good your brakes, suspension, or driving prowess, the rubber on the pavement is the only thing keeping you in control.

For any car I drive hard, I buy the best tires I can get.

The F150 gets whatever's cheap and snow rated. But that's a glorified yard truck and rarely goes faster or further than I can walk, and tires usually get replaced for dry rot before I wear them out.

Even good tires blow out (just lost a 600 mile Conti Extremecontact DWS 06 a couple weeks ago, sidewall blowout, defective tire, warranty replaced...I was going 75mph on the highway).

Just figure out what you'll do if they don't meet your expectations, and how fast you'd be going when you find out. Then you'll probably be okay. Probably.

I forget which model I have. But I love them. I even did a fun event at Road America on them. Zero issues and loads of grip. Really would never guess it was the cheapest option.
