bigger tire size ?

I have an 09 ses with stock height and stock rims. stock tire is 215/45 r17

I got a good deal on a newer set of tires 215/55 r17

Will they fit ?

I may use these as winters but I will need another set of 17 rims

I looked at the tire calculators just want to know if anyone mounted or tried this size on a mkII ?

09 Focus Sedan W/ SVT Rims

Per that thread they rubbed on 215/50's at stock height on mk2....215/55 will be worse.

I'd suggest keeping to OEM size of 215/45 with 205/45 being an acceptable alternative.

stock 215/45r17 are 24.6" tall.
bigger 215/55r17 would be 26.3" tall.

almost 2" taller tire. I doubt it would fit at all.

I'd vote for that too, no use spending money to get them mounted to find out how bad they rub. Keep looking and find a better fit
