Exclamation Ford Newbie with urgent question. HELP!!!

Hi There.

So I have a 2007 Ford Focus and it currently has 195/65 R15 tires on it. The tires are all Mud and snow winter tires but are in horrible condition. I'm talking I have a flap of rubber on the front driver side wheel. (I'm not the best driver :/)

I've done some research but I'm still pretty unclear. There's listed tires and rims for Ford Focus's from 2007. If I go to buy new tires will I be able to exchange them with a full set for any of the following "acceptable" 2007 Ford Focus Tires? Anyone have an idea?

205/55 R16
205/45 R17
225/40 R18
235/40 R18

Also one or two of my rims are slightly bent. In the case that they can't be straightened out, I'm assuming I'll have to get the coordinating rim that goes with the tires that I purchase?

Current should be 195/60-15, with alternative size of 185/65-15.

The 17's are a popular performance size, with 215/45-17 as a good size (SVT model Std.) & the 205/45-17 as an alternative.

Offhand those don't look like great 18" sizes, and 18's are a bit large for the car (35 profile needed for a good fit)

4 replacement wheels & tires is a large investment (needed for any diameter change), used Focus wheels 15-17 are a good economical alternative.

You don't mention your objective, so I can't comment further than that. (15's or 16's best for year 'round DD use)

If you are on a budget and just want new tires, then stay with 15" and buy some all season 195/60-15 tires.

If you want more performance, going to 16 or 17" wheels opens up better tire choices but investing in new wheels will up the price. You can also look into buy used wheels. Plenty go up for sale on these forums as well as craigslist/ebay/facebook.

You said you aren't the best driver - maybe sticking with the 15s so you can get a bigger sidewall (195/60-15) would be a better idea? They may take curb impacts better ... and are cheaper.
