replacing 18" tires

I'm coming up on 20k miles on my 12' Ti and noticed my tires are almost bare. What tires are you all buying to replace the OEM summer tires? I don't run winter tires and wheels because I have another winter ride. Surprised I'm only getting 20k miles on this set.

When I put 18" wheels on my car I went with these tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS

I still run snow tires in the winter.

I replaced my Michelin's with the Conti DWS Extreme Contact. Miss the grip of the a Summer only tires but wanted all-season performance.

Maybe I'm being premature but I have just 1/8" tread left. One tire has less than 1/16" tread which is strange. I called the dealer where I bought the car and they want $1100 for 4 tires installed. I asked what they were and he couldn't tell me. Didn't say if they were OEM but he did say they were 50k rating. Tirerack OEM lists it as 20k rating for $260 each. Won't be buying those. I'm going to check with my local tire shop but I'm not sure if they deal in performance tires often. Thanks for the input. I'll post what I end up buying. Most likely in a month or so.
Buying 4 tires for the F150 this week.

35,000 here and tires still look almost new (OEM Continentals).

Do you autocross or something ?

P.S. Mine are 16". I guess the lower profile of yours affect wear ?

No, it's not the lower profile. If the OP has 18's then he has Michelin PS3's, which are a high performance summer tire. They are designed for grip more than wear and seems how they are only supposed to be used for a few months out of the year they wear out really quickly if they're run year round. Mine were done at 17k because I had the tendency to not slow down for corners.
