Problems with wheel noise after winter storage

I have a 2004 SVTF that came stock with 17" wheels and Continental ContiSport tires. I bought 16" wheels and Blizzak tires for the winter and had them on from probably Dec 1 through April 1. I put my OEM tires back on my car and they are making a lot of noise, significantly more than when I last had them on the car.

Is this due to them being in storage for 4 months? Is there anything I can do to lessen the noise?

Thanks in advance

chris

I don't think storing wheels should have them make a lot of noise... do you need an alignment maybe?

They drive fine they're just loud.
Maybe sitting for so long there is a film build-up on the wheels and driving them some will wear it off?

Did they look kinda shiny if they did the rubber could have been drying out on the tire making the rubber harder than normal in witch case it would make them louder. This should go away after some driving. What kinda conditions where the tire stored in?

Indoor storage unit. Not climate-controlled, but never got super cold

Did you give them a good looking over and notice any hair line cracking on the side walls or a glazed look on the tread?

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but I never really looked that close. The dealer put them back on during my 10k checkup and if there were problems I would assume they would let me know, but we all know what assuming does

Or, you just don't remember how loud they normally are.
When I put my 16" snows on, they were substantially quiter than the stock Contis.
