Just got a good deal on the BFG g-force T/A KDW-2 tires

Right now this tire is going for $133/tire on tire rack. This is the price without warrenty, without shipping, and without mountiing, balancing, and install. If you have a Costco membership you can get these tires for $135.99/tire WITH a warrenty, SHIPPED, and INSTALLED. This turns out to be a smoking deal. The Costco Item # is 743934.

Wow...sounds like I just got mine before they increased the prices, I got my set @ $114/each. They're great tires BTW...super sticky, handle great (which is saying something considering the only suspension mod I have is a front strut tower bar and I can take corners at high speed without loss of control.) I've had yet to run them in the rain, and since they just went on the car last Tuesday I can't report treadwear, although they get good reviews on Tirerack.

Well I was just out, and I'd have to say these tires are decent even in the snow. The typical Northeast Ohio weather machine kicked in today and dumped about 8" of lake effect snow on us. So I had to run out to the store, and while they aren't as good as my Pirelli Snow Sport 210's are in the snow (go figure) I wasn't sliding around like I was on the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A's.

I'm so ready for these tires to get here. I wish I had access to my life's fast forward button. Another great thing about these tires are the look. I've never seen a tire with a tread that looked so bad ass. Especially for so cheap. Damn Frogman, you're lucky. I saw these tires more than a month ago on TireRack for $98/tire. I turns out though that with this deal from CostCo I'm getting the tires for close to the $98 mark because the warentee, shipping, and install is covered.

Let us know how they work out. I was looking at them as well but opted for the Goodyear Eagle F-1's. Heard good things about the g-force but also that they were pretty loud (road noise)...it would be interesting to hear if that is true.

I'll let you know. Between exhaust and intake I can't see how the tires could be so loud I would notice. We'll see.

I didn't notice any major noise increase over my /55 R16 winter tires, if anything I'd say they're just a touch quiter at highway speed than the winter tires were. Anything below that and I don't notice them.
