Reveiw: Hankook R-S2 Z212

Here's my reveiw on the all new Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 Tires (sized 215/45/16) -

First a tidbit of info direct from www.Hankooktire.com:

-Maximum Performance Summer
-V, W, Y-Rated
-35/40/45/50/55/60 Series
-14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Inch
-UTQG: 200/AA/A, 200/A/A
-Road Hazard Warranty
-DSB: Diagonal Serrated Band
-SBL: Serrated Black Letters

The Ventus R-S2 Z212 was created from the successful Ventus RSS Z211 racing design, brought to the street with improved road contact surface area for dry traction and a tread design featuring exceptional water dispersion for wet conditions. The result is a street tire delivering maximum grip with the proven Ventus Ultra-High Performance tread compound.

All I can say is wow! These things are like GLUE!! I didnt get on it too much as I'm still breaking in the clutch, so I'm kinda going easy. Plus,a s I only put them on tonight, I wanted to drive about 100 miles before I retorque the lugs to 100ft.lb's!

I also installed some SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT lug nuts...these things are about the same weight as a paperclip...no $hit!! Never had them before, so durability scares me. I just need to go a little harder each time before I get full confidence in the whole pkg.

Making the 15 mile trip from my parents at about 60-70 MPH, arriving home, I checked the tire temps...they were warm to the touch and very soft!! I cant wait til its 90 degree's...I want to push these tires SO BAD!!

When I have more info after everything is settled in, I'll write more....

...for $89 a pop, these tires are a steal!!! Got em from www.tires.com!!

I will also have a few pictures up tommorow in the showroom..

Now the sucky - today, en route to pick the wheels up from NTB, I curbed one of my goldies (the 5 spokes, not a new rim)...completely scuffed it to hell (pass. rear). Also picked up a nail on the way (pass front). Ugh.[/b]
