Ground Control Coilovers

Ok. I have H&r Springs on my car atm. 1.5" drop. My cars body is stock (no kit hung atm).

Yesterday i hit some snow (grinded on the plastic bumper), and a pothole on my street (since it was covered in snow) and bottomed out a little bit. Dont like it at ALL.

I WILL spend the 1 grand if i have to on the ford racing coilovers or what have you. HOwever i seen some "ground control coilovers" for 500 bucks.

Are these any good? Someone said they use Eibach springs, which are good springs.

I just need to be able to raise my car to almost stock, during the winter months cause well yeah, maryland doesnt have the best winters like you floridians and californians.

Ground control is a very good company, has been around a long time, and manufactures a quality unit. You heard right, they come with Eibachs. Their retail price is 399.00, its pretty rare to find new GC's from other sources any cheaper. They'll custom spec springs for you (spring rate and length) at no additional cost when you buy directly from them. They also have a very informative WEB site.

I think I'll have to look into those as well, since I'm hoping to do something with my suspension this spring....

I have GC on my Escort AutoXer. Love them. They are a quality coilover, not some EBay crap that you get for $59.00. And like Geezer was saying, if you order directly through GC, you will be able to discuss your particular needs and they'll hook you up with whatever you need at the same price.

Sweet. As long as they are using eibach springs, they cant be horrible. I have H&R now, and i love them. LOVE them, but it sucks being a that much lower and scraping on ice on our street. Ill be ROYALLY PISSED OFF if i have the car painted and body kit installed and scrape it up on ice. Coilovers should let me stay almost stock height in the winter (.5" isnt that much of a drop, but that extra 1" on the H&R makes a world of difference of whether you scrape or not)

Thnx guys looks like ill be switchin to ground controls.
