One of these springs is not like the other...

Yup, I went to swap my springs from my stockers to a set of SVT springs I bought for $50.

We couldn't get off ONE stupid bolt on the rear driver's side where the arm is connected to the chassis (to let the spring come out). Somehow it got all dorked up.

We spent like 2 hours tryin to back it out or tap it out or whatever we could without snapping the bolt.

The garage started to close on us, and I can't afford to not have my car at work... soooooo

Now I have 3 SVT springs and 1 stock spring.

Car sits funny; that's for sure.

The bolt almost didn't go back in either. It's not really frozen in place, it gives a little... but it's like it is in rubber housings because it slowly goes back a quarter of a turn. an Impact gun won't budge it, but a breaker bar will.

ARRRGH! Any ideas?

WOw that is odd. I had problems with a few bolts in the rear suspension. We broke 2 5/8 sockets trying to loosen it. so we ended up going to a local Tire place called Les Schwab. they too like suspension, tires, wheel, brakes. Its like a Chain store, but anyway we took my car there and they just used the air tool and broke them free and then tightened them back up, we tip'd him 5$ and left, they were cool about it

and since you are on 3 prings that could cuase Uneven tire wear... not totally sure but by common sense i think i'm right becuase you are riding lower on 3 springs and the one corner is still higher....

correct. I'm not driving as much as I can avoid it. this will be fixed by the end of the week because it's making my car ride all silly.

hopefully I'll have the time b4 the end of the week.

it's not too bad in that aspect. with the arm they kinda even each other out. it still tilts like I'm on hydraulics or something. but, it's not too bad of a tip.

you can see it's lower on one side though. No pulling or anything, but turning feels.... "funny"

If anyone cares or comes across the same issue. The way to get around this problem is to get a pair of vice grips and grab ahold of the bushing right after the nut that's welded on while you torque the bolt out. It took a bunch of hours to figure this out, but we did. Car is on SVT springs and looks much better than stock.
