Focus ZX5 Tire Issue

hello all,
well i have a '02 focus zx5 and love it. My only b^%&* about it is the tire issue, they are such a low series tire that i have like four bubbles on my side wall. Now i am searching for tires and was wondering if you all could guide me in the right direction? What tires have you had a good, bad or ugly experience with? i was looking at the Falken ZE-512 but saw some bad reviews on them. Any input would be great thanks.

koury

first off what size tire ya have??

is it a stock rim or aftermarket?

i personally have 17's in a 215/45/17 size and haven't had any issues

i run a Kuhmo 711 and am on my second set of em' ( had Yokohama before, good tire, but tread life sucked )

keep an eye on your tire pressures ( i run 45psi with my 17's ) that could cause problems with the sidewalls if they are underinflated

l8r, John

I had Yokohama Parada Spec 2's and liked them very much. Handled well in dry and wet and had decent tire life. Think I'm going to try a set of the new BFGoodrich T/A KDW-2's
next.

The Falken 512's are a well respected all season tire. Consumers Report magazine picked them as a best buy after head to head tests a year or two ago. Both the tire rack and Discount Tire have reviews on their sites. I have found those to be very helpful. Tire Rack also does a lot of comparison testing on tires that they sell. They don't hold back and will call a dud a dud regardless who makes it.
